Privacy Policy
Last updated October 14, 2026
Saseum Services ("we", "us") makes Saseum, software that restaurant groups use to order from vendors, track deliveries and invoices, message their team and suppliers, plan schedules, run payroll and hire. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We call a business that holds a Saseum account a "customer", and the people it invites to use it "users".
Our Two Roles
For our customers. Most information in Saseum is put there by a customer about its own business: its employees, job applicants, vendors and their representatives, and the people its staff message. We process that information on the customer's behalf and under its instructions, as its service provider. The customer decides what it collects and why, and its own privacy notice governs that use. If you work for, applied to, or supply one of our customers, please contact that business first. We will help it answer you.
For ourselves. We decide how to use the information in our customers' accounts and users' profiles, demo requests sent to us, and the technical information our website and app receive. This policy covers both roles.
What We Collect
- Account and profile: name, email address, phone number, role, store, preferred language, profile photo and notification settings.
- What you put in: orders, carts, prices, vendor details, messages and their attachments, photos of deliveries and invoices, voice notes, files, tasks, notes, community posts, and conversations with Claire, the assistant built into Saseum.
- Workforce information our customers add: hours and time punches, pay rates, tips, time off, schedules, payslips, tax withholding forms, new-hire paperwork such as address, emergency contact and work authorization status, and bank account details for direct deposit. Bank account and routing numbers are sent to our banking provider; we keep its reference and the last four digits.
- Applicants: contact details, availability, answers to application questions, and documents such as resumes and certificates that an applicant or the hiring business provides.
- Vendor contacts: names, phone numbers, email addresses and messages of vendor representatives, and transcripts of calls placed on a customer's behalf. When a delivery driver shares a location in a message, we keep the latest position for one day to show the delivery's progress.
- Demo requests: name, email address, business name, number of locations, how you heard about us, and the IP address and browser that sent the request.
- Technical information: IP address and browser details, used to keep accounts secure and to limit repeated sign-in attempts, and the cookies and device storage described on our Cookies page.
The app asks to use your camera, microphone and notifications only when you choose a feature that needs them. It asks for your device's location at no point.
How We Use It
- To provide Saseum: placing and tracking orders, reading invoices, messaging, scheduling, payroll, hiring and the rest of what customers use it for.
- To send what you ask us to send: purchase orders, emails, texts and calls to vendors, invitations, offers, payslips and notifications.
- To run Claire, which reads your account's information to answer questions and carry out tasks you ask for.
- To keep Saseum secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To answer support requests and demo requests, and to tell users about changes to the service.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Saseum carries no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.
Claire And Other AI Features
Claire and several features (reading invoices and timecards, translating messages, transcribing voice notes, and placing vendor calls) send the relevant text, images and audio to the AI providers listed below, which process it to return a result to us. AI output can be wrong. Please review what Claire prepares before it is sent, ordered or paid.
When you clear a conversation with Claire, it is archived in your account, and notes Claire took from it stay available to your store until someone removes them.
Who We Share It With
We share personal information with the service providers below, only as needed to run Saseum and under contracts or terms that limit their use of it. We also share information within a customer's account as its settings direct, when required by law, to protect people or our rights, and with a buyer if our business is sold.

- Anthropic

- Apple, Google and Mozilla push services
- Delivering notifications to your device.
- Retailers you connect, such as Amazon and Staples
- When a customer uses retail checkout, its saved sign-in is used to place the order it approved.
How Long We Keep It
We keep customer information for as long as the customer's account is active, or as the customer directs, and then delete it within a reasonable period unless the law requires us to keep it. Payroll and employment records are often subject to legal retention periods, so a removed team member's records stay with the customer's account. Some information is kept for shorter periods:
- Sign-in sessions end after 30 days.
- Records of failed sign-in attempts are deleted after one day.
- A driver's shared location is deleted after one day.
- Community posts are archived after six months and deleted 90 days later.
How We Protect It
Saseum is served only over encrypted connections. Sign-in uses one-time codes sent to your verified phone or email, stored only as hashes, sign-in attempts are rate limited, and saved retailer sign-ins and other sensitive credentials are encrypted at rest. Access to customer information is limited to what each user's role allows. No system is perfectly secure, so please never share a sign-in code and tell us at help@getsaseum.com if you notice anything wrong.
Your Choices And Rights
You can view and update your profile in the app. Depending on where you live, including in California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to limit how sensitive information is used. We use sensitive information, such as bank details and tax forms, only to provide the service. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email help@getsaseum.com. We will confirm your identity before acting, and may ask an authorized agent for proof that you gave them permission. We respond within 45 days. If your information is in Saseum because of your employer or another customer, we will pass your request to that business and help it respond.
Children
Saseum is a workplace tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes And Contact
We will update this policy as Saseum changes and show the date at the top. For a significant change we will tell account owners in advance. Questions and requests go to help@getsaseum.com.
